“I was raised in Wrightsville Beach, I grew up wanting to be like my brother, which led me to learn how to surf and skate. Now, I’m grateful to raise my kids, Olive & Roman, here at the beach, sharing the same love for the ocean and an active lifestyle. I truly believe North Carolina beaches are the best in the world. Being part of Surf Mamas keeps me inspired and motivated to get outside and stay connected with the community! ”

“I was born and raised in Carpinteria, California. I moved to Wilmington when I was 20, and now its been almost 10 years. After having my son, Hendrix, it took until he was two, during the pandemic to link up with Brooke and reignite my passion for surfing. My dad is a surfer and my brother is a surfer so it was pushed into me. I love to show my son a love for the ocean and spend time with my family in the water. I am so thankful for the surf mamas and the community we are building.”

“I was born and raised in Wilmington NC, and spent lots of time enjoying the water and fishing with my family as a kid. I was drawn to surfing in high school, and picked it up after college when a friend loaned me a board. I now work as a screen printer after graduating with a BA in Studio Art from UNCW. I love having time to surf and play with my daughter and husband at the beach! “

“I have a daughter and son who are four and two and one large fur baby. My husband and I moved to the Wilmington area three years ago. Being new to the area and having a new baby I assumed it would be a long time before I would get into the water again. When i met the surf mama group they were so welcoming, and it was an incredible feeling to find a community of women and moms in the same season of life who’s happy place was in and around the ocean. I have been surfing for over 10 years and can easily say this has been the most fun and challenging chapter in my life/surfing journey. I look forward to meeting more ladies and sharing/supporting each other in this crazy chapter of life.”

“I grew up in Johnston County, NC and would travel to the beach on weekends to surf. I moved to Carolina Beach when I was 18 and surfed as much as I could. I have been surfing now for over 20 years. I have one daughter that is 3 and she loves the water. The surf mamas community has provided me with a tribe of friends that understand this season of life that i am in. My background is varied in the arts (visual and culinary) and education (elementary grades), I enjoy teaching and being in and around the ocean. “
